HEART, HEALTH & NUTRITION
Heart, Health & Nutrition has been a leading resource on preventing, managing, and reversing heart disease for 15 years. Written by Dr. Sinatra, a board-certified cardiologist and nutrition specialist, the newsletter features the latest information on integrative and alternative cardiovascular care, as well as practical steps that readers can take to improve the strength and health of their heart.
Because Dr. Sinatra believes strongly that the best therapy for a health problem is the one that works, Heart, Health & Nutrition regularly features supplement, dietary, exercise, and mind-body therapies that subscribers use to cope with high blood pressure, arrhythmia, valve disorders, plaque buildup, heart attack prevention and recovery, inflammation, and heart failure.
All recommendations, which are grounded in Dr. Sinatra's 30 years of practice and research, can be used in conjunction with—and sometimes in lieu of —treatments prescribed by conventional doctors. Other topics routinely discussed include cardiovascular testing methods, the appropriate use of pharmaceutical drugs, surgeries, and the emotional challenges of living with heart disease.

Founder of the New England Heart and Longevity Center, a Center for Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. Sinatra integrates conventional medical treatments for heart disease with complementary nutritional, anti-aging, and psychological therapies.
He has written numerous books about the many aspects of heart disease. The Sinatra Solution highlights treatment options, and works to dispel myths surrounding heart disease, while Heart Sense for Women seeks to educate women about the specifics of heart disease, particularly since their symptoms can often go undiagnosed.
Most importantly, it is clear that Dr. Sinatra’s decades of education, training, and practical experience have shown him the wisdom of practicing both conventional and alternative medicine, and that having a multidisciplinary approach to health and healing truly is smart medicine.
HEALTH AND HEALING
Health & Healing has been one of the world’s most popular, and most highly respected, resources for authoritative health information since 1991. It is fueled by the research and clinical experience of its author, Dr. Whitaker, who has been a practicing physician for over 30 years. At his medical clinic, the Whitaker Wellness Institute, Dr. Whitaker specializes in offering alternative therapies to patients who want to turn their health around without harmful drugs or unnecessary surgery.
Each month in Health & Healing, Dr. Whitaker discusses the health concerns he’s seeing at his clinic, reviews the latest health research, and shares details of therapies that are working for his patients. He covers topics from heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, to natural hormone replacement, weight management, restful sleep, and more. He is vehemently opposed to bypass surgery and angioplasty, and immediately stops prescription insulin and statin drugs for almost every patient who walks through his door. In Health & Healing, you’ll discover what his proven alternatives are, and how to take charge of your own treatment for virtually any illness.

These contacts, plus his experience and intuition, enable him to bring you practical, common-sense answers that you can put to use in your life today.
More About Dr. Williams
Dr. Williams has a hard-earned reputation as one of the world's leading authorities on natural healing. Often years ahead of the conventional medical establishment, he has traveled worldwide to locate, evaluate, formulate, and write about proven treatments and cures for practically every major health concern today.
Dr. Williams likes to recall that, when he was a kid, people were close and family was important. Since he was raised in a small, hard-working farm community in the Texas panhandle, most people didn't have a lot of the nicer things in life. But they did have something far more important than money; they had values. The people in his community relied on honesty and lived by the Golden Rule—they took care of each other. That's the way Dr. Williams sees his research and writing for his newsletter, Alternatives. It's the best way he knows to contribute his part of people "taking care of each other."
